Letting the Results Speak….
As we wrap up our first round of tryouts for our elite programs and look ahead to the next, this is a great moment to reflect on and celebrate what makes Real Colorado truly special. At the heart of our success are the players and families who define our community, closely followed by the integrity and excellence of our staff, team coaches, and dedicated volunteers. It is this collective commitment that has helped establish Real Colorado as one of the premier clubs in the state and across the nation. While others have chosen to build their programs by spreading misinformation, manipulating facts, and pushing baseless speculation, we have taken a different approach. We’ve let our work, our values, and our results do the talking.
There have been persistent rumors surrounding connections to professional pathways on the boys side — most notably, as it relates to the Colorado Rapids professional organization. Let’s be clear: no youth club in Colorado, including Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club (legally known as Colorado Fusion), holds an exclusive or privileged relationship with the Colorado Rapids professional organization. Wearing the same jersey does not equate to access. The professional pathway is open to all, and Real Colorado has long collaborated directly with Colorado Rapids professional staff to evaluate and support players on the path to the next level.
It’s also worth noting that Real Colorado’s Academy program was the driving force behind ECNL’s decision to bring Colorado into the prestigious Texas Conference. The Texas clubs were only willing to engage in that conversation because of their long-standing respect for our Academy teams, built through years of competition in the U.S. Development Academy. The strength of those relationships, the consistent quality of our program, and the forward-thinking leadership of the ECNL were the key ingredients that made this possible. Today, that decision provides Real Colorado players with access to some of the most elite and challenging competition in the country — and we’re proud to have paved the way.
Just this year alone, Real Colorado alumni Ian Smith, Ethan Ballek, Mark O’Neill, and Reid Roberts earned professional contracts after college. Adam Beaudry, now with the Rapids' first team, came through Real Colorado’s Academy before joining the Rapids Academy at U17 — a transition made possible through mutual collaboration. These are just a few recent examples of Real Colorado's deep and proven history in player development.
No other club in Colorado has consistently supported players to reach their full potential across all levels — from club to high school, college, and the pros. Be wary of clubs trying to sell what is already freely available to every player.
On the field, our results speak volumes:
MLS Next: Our U15, U17 and U19 teams have once again qualified for the playoffs, our club aiming for a third consecutive trip to the MLS Next Championship Finals.
Boys ECNL: Our ECNL National teams (2nd teams) competed in the Mountain Division — facing off against 1st teams from other clubs — and finished 4th or better in nearly every age group.
Boys ECNL-RL (3rd teams): Competing against 1st and 2nd teams from other clubs, two of our RL teams have earned playoff spots, our ’09 and ’08 boys.
Girls ECNL: Playing in the nation’s toughest conference (Texas), our ’12, ’11, ’10, ‘09’ and ‘08s, (five of six Real Colorado age groups) advanced to the ECNL Playoffs. Only the Colorado Rush can also say they have a team headed to the ECNL playoffs as their ’08 girls earned the right.
Girls ECNL North American Cup: Our ’08 Athletico team qualified, joining Colorado Rush as the only other local club with a team in this prestigious competition.
Girls ECNL-RL: Our 2010 and 2008 Olympico teams earned playoff berths while regularly competing against 1st and 2nd teams from other clubs.
CSA State Success: 4 State Cup Champions, 3 Presidents Cup Champions, 11 Division winners and 24 team finishing in a top 3 position and eligible to promote.
We don’t waste time talking about what we’re going to do — we focus on doing it. The noise from other clubs isn’t new, but it’s never been our strategy. Our priority remains player development, honest communication, and delivering on the promises we make to our families.
At Real Colorado, we don’t chase status, we don’t chase families in the parking lot — we build it. And we’re proud of the community, culture, and excellence we continue to deliver.
