Jared Spires

Chief Operating Officer

Serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Real Colorado, Jared Spires is a tenured national leader in youth soccer. He began coaching at the age of 19 and became the Director of the Competitive Program for then Douglas County Blast, currently Real Colorado, in the coming years. Having earned his USSF A license, the highest achievement in the US in coaching criteria, at the age of 26, he has been committed to fully investing himself into the youth sport of soccer. After a brief tenure at Vanderbilt University as the women’s assistant soccer coach, he returned to Real Colorado in 2005 to assume the role he currently holds today. As Chief Operating Officer, his duties are accountability for managing the operating budget, implementing policy, and operationally leading Real Colorado in the direction determined by himself, the Executive Director of Coaching/President, and the Board of Directors. Drawing upon his deep experience, he is immersed in the challenges a youth organization faces at the simplest and most difficult levels today and moving into tomorrow.

Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Colorado Youth Soccer League Operations Committee, and continues to serve on the CYS executive advisory council to the Board of Directors. With his roots beginning in coaching and now into operational control of one of the top clubs in the country, he understands the challenges faced by youth organizations at every level.
